Species and nutritional adequacy

Only feed a product to the species stated on its label. Our gently cooked dog meals are intended for dogs; do not assume they meet a cat’s needs. Treats, toppers, and single-ingredient whole-prey raw quail are intended for intermittent or supplemental feeding unless the particular product carries a verified complete-and-balanced nutritional adequacy statement.

Whole prey, organ content, a natural ingredient list, or the addition of taurine does not by itself establish a balanced diet. Our single-ingredient raw quail grind is not a complete and balanced sole diet for cats or dogs. Cats need adequate taurine and other essential nutrients. Follow the product label and an appropriate overall feeding plan.

Nutrition and benefits

Ingredient descriptions explain general qualities of the ingredient, not a guarantee of a finished product’s nutrient levels or a promise to prevent, treat, or cure disease. Published analysis and calorie figures must apply to the specific product; another company’s figures do not verify our recipe. Product images are illustrative, and natural color, texture, size, and grind may vary. Refer to the net weight and ingredient statement on the package.

Raw-food handling

Raw pet food may contain harmful bacteria such as Salmonella and Listeria, which can affect pets and people. Freezing and freeze-drying do not reliably eliminate all pathogens. Keep frozen products frozen, thaw them in the refrigerator, and keep the refrigerator at 40°F / 4°C or below. Keep raw food separate from human food; wash hands and clean and disinfect bowls, utensils, and surfaces after use. Keep away from children and take extra care around pregnant people, older adults, and anyone with a weakened immune system. Raw products containing ground bone should not be cooked.

Supervision and safe storage

Supervise pets while eating treats or chews. Choose an appropriate size, remove small broken pieces, and provide fresh water. Choking, tooth injury, or digestive obstruction can occur with chews or bones. Follow package storage directions and best-by information; keep packaging and any oxygen absorber away from pets. Pet food is not intended for human consumption.

Concerns and recalls

Stop feeding a product if you suspect contamination or an adverse reaction. Keep the package and lot information, contact us, and seek veterinary help promptly if your pet is unwell.
